The total tonnage of non-factory cullet collected for recycling in Belgium was 330,334 tonnes, but parallel import was estimated again at 30,000 tonnes. As done every year, these 30000 tonnes have been subtracted from the total collected. For details: see nnual report 2009 - FOST PLUS | The national consumption of glass containers is like every year based on the one hand on the real declaration of packaging by members to Fost Plus (=294413 tonnes) and on the other hand on an estimation of the quantities, put on the market by other companies (=17319 tonnes). For details: see annual report 2009 - FOST PLUS |

Some estimates are done on calculation of the consumption of (glass)packaging in Denmark. The calculation is based on a survey of more than 9,200 different goods/products produced and traded in and out of Denmark. Different average weights on different types of packaging result in estimated amount of total consumption. | The renewal of refillable glass packaging is not taken in consideration. |
